The design may seem modest at first, but it hides incredible forces. The back of the sock has a gorgeous Celtic cable stitch pattern. It starts from the very first round of the cuff and continues all the way to the end of the heel flap. The socks are knit in the round top-down.

I originally designed the Kilpineito sock pattern for a Finnish blogger Neulovilla. The pattern was test knitted and checked by a Finnish tech editor at the time. The pattern was first published in Finnish on the Neulovilla blog on April 19, 2019.

Now, in January 2020, I’ll be re-launching the pattern myself in my own sites. I’ve made some small changes to the pattern, mainly replacing some words. I have also translated the pattern so that my English speaking followers can enjoy it too. I would like to point out that the pattern has not been tech edited by anyone after I translated it. So, the English version of the pattern may contain oddities that are purely my mistakes. I apologize in advance.
