Fall 2021 Manos del Uruguay x Stephanie Earp

This classic design makes the most of space-dyed Cabrito, with orderly garter panels on the sleeves and the back of this cardigan, paired with a large garter stitch shawl collar that lets the variagation run wild. Knit flat and seamed for a tailored fit, this cardigan uses an intarsia effect but keeps the intarsia technique light. There’s no need to twist yarns, just drop the Cabrito when you’re not using it.

NOTES
The garter stitch accent panels in the center of the back and sleeves are worked with one strand each of MC and CC held together. Work to the beginning of the panel with MC, add the CC and work 8 stitches with both yarns, then drop the CC and continue to the end of the row with MC. Because the MC is used across the entire row there are no holes at the color changes, and therefore it is not necessary to twist the yarns at the edges of the panel.
