The Kin Jumper is crocheted from cuff to cuff with a striking two-row repeat. With understated Dolman-style sleeves, it’s inspired by those batwing jumpers of the 1980s, with a more fitted style. The crossed treble stitch rows create an open lacey texture and the double slip stitch rows create a vertical line and give the jumper structure and a sophisticated look.

Kin is worked sideways in one large piece as folls: crocheted increases at the edges form the right sleeve, then chains are added to create additional sts required for the body length; the front and back are split and crocheted to create the neck hole, then re-joined to finish the body and decrease at the edges for the left sleeve. The waist rib is created at the same time, leaving just the collar and cuffs to add. Finally, a selvedge edge is added to the side seams before joining the jumper together using mattress stitch.
