The Kinderkarussell Shawl is a medium sized half-pi shawl in linen stitch separated by evenly spaced eyelet rows, ending in a wide lace border.

This is an ideal project for using up short leftovers and odd skeins. Starting out with a linen stitch section which combines the multiple colors into a structured fabric with a woven appearance, it flares out into a wide, easy to knit lace border.

In the linen section the colored yarns are joined with an almost invisible magic knot, keeping the amount of lose ends to a minimum.

The frequent color changes make this shawl a particularly fun project and results in a one-of-a-kind accessory which will go with every outfit.

Dimensions: 75 cm (29.5˝) maximum depth, 180 cm (71˝) wingspan length

Kinderkarussell is the German word for merry-go-round. This cheerful shawl, worked in one neutral color and a variety of colorful yarns, reminds me of the fairground visits of my childhood days.
