This pattern is written using US crochet terms - US to UK conversion chart available on last page.
Pattern is a 6-row repeat.
Pattern is colour coded - with instructions for children’s size in RED and adult’s size in BLACK
Beginning chain can be made as foundation dc row, or as a traditional chain, with dc’s added to chain once stitch count has been reached.
Chains at the beginning of the row do not count as a stitch unless otherwise noted.
Adjustments can be made to final size by either increasing or reducing the number of stitches in the foundation chain - however, ensure that the final chain ends with an odd number of stitches, or pattern repeats may not work as stated.

5 mm H/8 Crochet hook

Recommended Yarns:
Worsted / Aran / 10 ply
Red Heart Supersaver Ombre 100% acrylic - 168gms (< 1 x 200gm ball)
Lion Brand Mandala or other suitable dk / light worsted / 8 ply yarn of your choice

Final Size:
The finished cowl in worsted /aran / 10 ply weight, measures approximately 26 inches long by 9.5 inches wide for children, and 36 inches long by 9.5 inches wide for adults. The finished cowl in dk / light worsted / 8 ply weight, measures approximately 33 inches long by 8.5 inches wide for children, and 25 inches long by 8.5 inches wide for adults.

Gauge: In dc: 8 rows and 14 dc = 4 inches
