This pattern reminded me of the Crown Jewels so have called it King Cowl. It is one size but can easily be adjusted to suit your needs by adding or deducting Chart repeats. The gauge is stated as a reference and creates a nice fabric. Depending, what your taste is and how you like your colour work to look, you can use your preferred needles to get the look and feel you like. This used 40cm circular needles and the pattern calls for two 3.25 mm needles in addition if you want to follow the link for the tubular cast on, plus crochet hook, scrap yarn, darning needle and stitch markers. You can use any cast on method of your choice. Tubular was chosen for its neat finish and stretch. Each yarn comes as 100g and leaves enough for some other favourite project. Happy Crafting
