Kinship cowl features wide stripes, and a timeless textured pattern. The simple lace elevates a classic shape and the ribbing creates a super squishy warm fabric. This project will fly off your needles! I hope you love knitting one for yourself or for someone special. xo

If you purchased a Knit For the Girls Bundle the free digital pattern code is now active.
PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST CHECK EACH PATTERN (hat & cowl) OUT INDIVIDUALLY. This means 2 separate cart transactions. Sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you so much!

I am a huge fan of the classic tube style cowl. They are easy to wear without adding tons of bulk and keep you so cozy without any fuss!

The Louie & Lola merino/silk/yak DK yarn used here is an absolute dream to knit and wear. If you can get some, I highly recommend treating yourself.

One of the fun things about a cowl is that fit can be flexible, so substituting yarns that you may have will absolutely work. Feel free to explore and try:

  • fingering weight yarn + a fuzzy lace weight

  • using scraps or mini skeins

  • woolly DK yarns

  • knitting the cowl in only one colour

Kinship Cowl:

  • has written instructions and schematic
  • video link for long tail cast on method
  • has been professionally tech edited & test knit
