Knit a lacy, net-like shawl with excellent reversibility—the wrong side looks as charming and intentional as the front! The combination of lace and welting makes for a surprisingly economical project—a little yarn, even a single skein, will go a long way.
Materials:
~250-800 yards of fingering-weight yarn; the sample is shown in Malabrigo Yarn Sock in the Turner colorway
1 24+“ circular needles in US3/3.25mm, or size needed for gauge
tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Gauge:
Gauge is 20 sts and 27 rows over 4”/10cm of pattern as written, worked flat and blocked. Please be sure to check your gauge.
Measurements:
This shawl is knit from the narrow tip down on the bias, so you can pretty much customize it to any size. The sample is 34”/86cm across the wingspan and 17”/43cm deep at the point, and is actually just shy of the 24-repeat minimum recommended.
Errata in the free version! The current .PDF is corrected. Here’s a temporary errata link.
