This lightweight triangular shawl incorporates three distinct stitches that come to us from Japan. It is knit top down, and the stitches cause a pretty and delicate scallop at the neckline. While the shawl looks difficult to knit, it is not hard, and is suitable for Intermediate knitters.

The pattern contains instructions for two different sizes. The smaller one is the one shown. There are also instructions for an optional crochet edging.

The stitches are charted out and written out.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming some lace experience)

The sample was knit out of Lorna’s Laces Soulmate yarn, in colorway Patina. The shawl was expertly test knitted by Gay Fehr, who can be contacted at grf1956@ gmail.com. The smaller size requires three skeins of Soulmate.
