I use 100% Cotton (such as Bernat Handicrafter, Hobby Lobby’s ILTC, Lily’s Sugar ‘N Cream, Drops Paris, Knit Picks Dishie). They measure approximately 8” - 9” square using size an 4.5mm hook - this depends on whether you crochet loose or tight.
