“Kiss The Earth” is a pattern for an oversized sunhat. It fits loosely over the head giving it a relaxed, boho feel.

This floppy hat has a rough, textured look with a decorative pointy edging. The plarn ties and the use of a single plarn tassel makes it look overall casual yet flirty.

Perfect for the summers, for an outing to the beach or for just plain lounging by your chair in the warm sunlight.

When it comes to my Earth, my sweet and always forgiving Mother Earth, I can be very serious. This is my small effort into trying to protect it. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle must be everyone’s mantra. There is no Earth #2.

I designed this hat last year using 3 of my designer yarns that I made out of garbage bags and polythene bags.

The hat is made with Trash Bag Plarn

The blue ties are made of Polythene Twine

The tassel is made with Polythene Plarn

Suggested Yarns:
You can use Super Bulky weight yarns for making this hat. You will need approximately 145-150 yards.

For the ties, I have used 2 yards of DK weight yarn.
For the tassel, I have used 1 yard of WW yarn.

1) Designs By Mamta Trash Bag Plarn(100% Manufactured Fibers(Plastic); 100 yds100 m; CYCA # 6): #Light Gray(A), 2 skeins.

2) Designs By Mamta Polythene Twine (100% Manufactured Fibers(Plastic); 10 yds9 m; CYCA # 3): #Blue(B), 1 skein.

3) Designs By Mamta Polythene Plarn(100% Manufactured Fibers(Plastic); 50 yds46 m; CYCA # 4): #Blue(C), 1 skein.

Crochet Hook Size:
7.5mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.
