Kiss Top is an easy-level intarsia crochet design featuring a large red lips motif across the chest. Worked flat in two panels, this crop top is a great project for anyone wanting to dip their toes into intarsia without dealing with too many yarn bobbins.

Notes

This pattern includes a full video tutorial designed to clarify any techniques or steps that are better demonstrated visually than explained in writing.

You will start by making the front and back panels and sewing the shoulders together. Next, craft the sleeves. Then, sew the sides of the body together. Finally, complete the project by working a round of single crochet stitches around the neckline.

The top is cropped, but it can be easily lengthened with instructions provided in the pattern.

This pattern uses intarsia crochet. Intarsia crochet involves using separate yarn bobbins or small balls for each color block, ensuring that yarn is not carried across the back of the work. Follow the color chart carefully and manage yarn changes neatly to maintain a clean finish.

You will be working with esc: when instructions say “(B) x 7” it means 1 esc in the next 7 sts with yarn B.

At the end of each row ch 1 and turn.

Each size has a link to the “Progress Tracker” for the waistband for easy to follow instructions.
