This vest was designed for my grandsons to wear for St. Patrick’s day. By making them longish, they can wear them for two St. Patrick’s Days and many of the days in between. The superwash yarn is for the convenience of their busy parents. To keep it simple and to knit it up quickly, I designed the pattern to work twisted stitches only on the right side. I really like the look of the box stitch, and I’ve designed the side seams using it. Should width need to be added to get another year out of the garment, a panel of box stitch could be knit and inserted on the side seams.
