It really doesn’t matter how old one is, the urge just to try things out is always there! I hope everyone will have as much fun as I did when knitting this pattern because I could really let myself go and have a good old giggle with it.
I had sworn to myself that I would not buy any more new wool until I had used up at least part of my stock, so I looked through what I had and found long forgotten wonderful white estonian wool. And masses of leftovers, leftovers, leftovers.
In fact I’m pretty mean as far as wool goes and can hardly bear to throw anything away, not even the tiniest ball. Then I lugged the whole lot into my cosy kitchen where our cat Snoopy usually makes herself at home and all of a sudden knew exactly what I was going to make.

Es spielt keine Rolle, wie alt man ist, der Spieltrieb ist einfach unlöschbar. So viel Spaß wie ich beim Stricken dieses Teils hatte, wünsche ich jedem. Bei diesem Stück konnte ich mich so richtig toll austoben und viel lächeln. Ich habe mir geschworen, dass ich nicht mehr neue Wolle kaufe, bis ich wenigstens einen Teil von meinen Beständen aufgebraucht habe, habe alles begutachtet und die längst vergessene weiße estnische Wolle gefunden. Und massenweise Reste, Reste, Reste. Ich bin nämlich sehr knauserig, was Wolle anbelangt und werfe fast nichts weg, auch die klitzekleinsten Knäuelchen nicht. Dann habe ich alles in meine urgemütliche Küche hingeschleppt, wo sich meistens auch unsere Katze Snoopy befindet. Und dann wusste ich sofort, was ich machen will. Katzentreppe, jawohl!
