These Tote bags are sure to please young and old Farmer’s Market shoppers! With lots of room to put in bunches of baby carrots, fresh sweet corn, pattypan squash, delicious apples, and all the other locally grown, picked-the-same-morning produce that local your local Farmers Markets specialize in! And if you use easy-care acrylic or cotton, you can just throw them in the wash when needed! These totes are also fun to use with play food—there are patterns for fruits and veggies in the “Farmers Market” series, too! And for your little farmers…make matching pinafore-style pullovers for some extra warmth on those cool mornings when you want to get to the Market early to get the cream of the crop!

You can make it in 3 sizes, using worsted weight yarn. You can even make the Small size a little tinier for Toddlers, so it is easier for them to manage! It takes approximately 4 ounces of yarn for the small, 6 ounces for the medium, or 10 ounces for the large–and that is TOTAL amounts, I did not measure to see how much of each colour I used. There are several different ways you can make it–with just the handles, with a shoulder strap added, or as a drawstring Dufflebag. You can make it in 2 colours, or more! It is lots of fun to make, watching the abstract kitties appear.
