This blanket is knit corner to corner. Hence the name, Kitty Corner. Each cat block is comprised of 16 corner to corner knit squares seamed together. One skein of DK will make an entire block, so that means the cat for one block and the background for another. Make sure you have the same number of skeins of yarn for the number of cat blocks you’d like your blanket to have.

3x3 cat blocks make a 40”x40” blanket (kid/mini lap)
