This striped baby beanie gets extra style points with its cute kitty ears. The inner ears can be adorned with stitched on fabric or you can crochet them out of a contrasting yarn. Optional flower and leaf appliqués dress this hat up for your favorite kiddos.

The hat begins with a ribbed band worked sideways, then the body is worked into the top edge of the band in joined rounds. Outer ears are worked in the round from the top down, and inner ears can be either crocheted in turned rows from the bottom up, or they can be cut out of purchased fabric and whip stitched onto the ear.
