Love cats? Love lace? Love mystery KALs? Then this project is for you! Using motifs designed and inspired by the work of Dorothy Reade, I’ve created a fun pi shawl for my annual summer mystery KAL.

What You’ll Learn
Circular CO, starting with DPNs or circulars, using lifelines, fixing mistakes in lace knitting, yarn overs for English and Continental knitters, how to read your knitting, how to interpret chart symbols, understanding vintage patterns, how to work unusual lace stitches, crochet bind off. We’ll also go over Dorothy Reade’s special tips for making lace knitting easy and fun.

Experience Level
Intermediate: circular knitting and lace knitting experience recommended

Schedule of Knitting
Our KAL will begin on European Pi Day (22/7 or July 22) and at that time we will begin publishing the charts one per week, along with tutorials and videos.

Section 1: July 22
Section 2: July 29
Section 3: Aug 5
Section 4: Aug 12
Section 5: Aug 19
Finishing: Aug 26

How it Works
Sign up by purchasing the pattern.

When you sign up you will be sent a pdf with a materials list, yarn info, and gauge to be ready to cast on. On each release date a new pdf will be sent to you with the next section and chart. I will also be recording special videos just for the KAL to help you along.
