For this wonderful pet blog hop, I designed a simple and easy enrichment mat for your cat or dog. Pockets, curly ques, and ruffles to hide treats in make this play mat hours of fun for your pet. My boy cat, who loves playing with toys, spent a couple of hours rolling around on his mat, digging all the treats out and sniffing the catnip spray I sprayed on it.

Using two strands of worsted weight yarn for the base, the mat works up very quickly and easily. It’s also pretty heavy since it is double stranded. The pockets and curly ques are made using single strands, but can be made with double strands to increase their size.
