I have come up with this design after trying a few variations. I find this pattern is simple yet makes a stable, well formed and cute dish to keep your things.

Materials:
Crochet hook (I used 3.75mm)
Yarn (I used Bernard Handicrafter cotton)
Darning needle
Scissors

Stitches and Abbreviations Used:
Magic Rings are used to start each round.
Sc - single crochet
Hdc - half double crochet
Sl St - slip stitch
Ch - chain
St - stitch
Flo - front loop only
Blo - back loop only

Pattern Notes
Unless otherwise stated at the end of each round I join the last stitch to the first with a sl st and begin each row with a ch 1.

I use magic rings to begin the rounds because I find them easier and neater. Alternatively you can chain 3 and join with sl st and sc 6st inside chain ring.

You can adjust yarn and hook size as you like to change the size of the dish. Just ensure that you use a hook a few sizes smaller than yarn size suggests so it is stiff enough to keep its shape. You can also add more rounds to the bottom of the dish to increase the diameter of the dish. You don’t have to use cotton yarn but I like it for ease of washing.
