This cat is croheted in rounds from the ears down and it’s shaped by increasing and decresing stitches. The face is embroidered, and you will create the pants by switching colors.

The size will be determined by the yarn/hook -combination. The original is crocheted out of worsted weight wool yarn using a 4 mm hook. I would recommend choosing the yarn first, then testing the hook size. The goal is simply to produce a fabric that doesn’t have holes and can hold the filling inside. And of course your scraps should be approximately the same weight.

You will need:

  • scrap yarn in four colors: less than 50 grams of the main color (light grey), much less than 50 grams for the two stripe colors (burnt orange and purple) and some black yarn to embroider the face
  • polyester filling (or other suitable material)
  • suitable crochet hook, tapestry needle (for sewing the hole and for embroidery), scissors

Skills needed:
Sc, Ch, basic increases and decreases, little bit of embroidery and handsewing.
