After many months indoors, I am excited about finally being able to head outside and embrace the summer. The Knickerbocker Glory Jumper is all about frivolity and fun, just like the ice cream sundae it’s named after: the frills make me think of ice cream wafers! This jumper is also perfect for video calls – you can show off all the detail on the jumper without standing up!

The Knickerbocker Glory Jumper is worked from the top down, starting with the Upper Back. Stitches are picked up along the Left Shoulder to work the Left Front as far as the Neckline, then stitches are picked up along the Right Shoulder to work the Right Front as far as the Neckline, then the Left and Right Front pieces are joined, and the rest of the Upper Front worked. The Body is joined in the Round after the Armhole Shaping, finishing with a twisted rib hem. The sts for the Sleeves are picked up around the Armhole, and the Sleeve Caps are shaped with short rows. The sleeves are worked in the round to the twisted rib cuffs. The Frills are worked by picking up stitches on the Upper Front and Upper Back, worked in twisted rib and shaped using short rows. The sts for the Neckband are picked up along the edge of the Neckline and the Neckband is worked in twisted rib.
