It is in English and uses standard US terminology, with specifics given in metric units. This pattern is also available in Swedish upon request.

This piece is, as the name suggests, a knit version of my (now classic) ‘Matriarch’ crochet pattern. The original was inspired by the true Matriarch of my family, my grandmother (and best friend) who taught me how to crochet some 20 years ago. She stood at 6 feet tall, always in a neat bowl cut and a handmade sweater. She bowed to no man, and taught the girls of our family to do the same. When she passed away a couple of years ago, I inherited a vanity in a muted rose color, which made me choose this particular shade for this sweater. This particular piece is an ode, in few words but a lot of yarn, to one of the most influential women of my life.
