This PWYC model offers several pricing tiers, with the hope of making my patterns financially accessible to those who need it, while still being able to value my time and labour. As a low-income knitter myself, I have been able to learn and grow with my knitting thanks to the generosity of designers offering free or discounted patterns, and I am happy to pay that forward.

Use the codes below in order to pay the price listed after each. Choose whichever price works best for you!

KNITME2 - $6.00

KNITME1 - $7.00

Back in the early 2000s, I had a denim carryall bag that I used for everything. While it may not have been the most fashionable piece, it seemed to magically stretch to fit whatever I wanted to hold, and held up to years of daily use before I quite literally wore it to shreds. To this day, I’ve never found a bag that was quite so perfect.

In an attempt to recreate it, I came up with this pattern suitable for any level of knitting experience. It uses 2 strands of cotton held double for an extra durable, stretchy fabric, and only requires two simple stitches--with picture and video tutorials to help you every step of the way!

In the end, it really doesn’t look anything like my beloved old bag—it’s actually even better. From the second I wove in the last yarn tail, this bag has been packed full of my daily essentials and hasn’t left my side.

NOTE

This pattern was based on the microfibre strap included in the subscription box. Similar handles can be found in most craft stores, or extra yarn yardage will be required to knit one.
