This garment is worked seamlessly from the top-down using contiguous set-in sleeve method developed by Susie Myers (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/contiguous) and german short rows to create a shaped neckline.
For german short rows you can find many tutorials on you tube which are very useful.
I used the Drops Nepal yarn by Garnstudio color nr. 8905 “Deep Ocean” a soft but stable yarn suitable for the particular work of this garment.

The alternating cables on a 1/1 rib knit create braids that widen and look like little balloons.
This is also thanks to the locking done with the steam iron when the job is finished.
The result is a truly original and fun sweater to make.

You will need 9 skeins ( 50 g each) for small size, 10 skeins for medium size and 11 skein for large size
I used needles 5 EU/8 US
Bust measurements after blocking are
Small 37 inches
Medium 42 inches
Large 47 inches

Questo maglione è lavorato Top Down, con una variante del Contiguous Method, inventato da Susie Meyers. (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/contiguous) e con i ferri accorciati tedeschi per creare uno scollo sagomato.
(Per come fare i ferri accorciati tedeschi ci sono molti tutorial su Youtube che sono chiarissimi)
Ho utilizzato il filato Drops Nepal di Garnstudio colore nr 8905 “Oceano Profondo” un filato morbido ma stabile adatto alla particolare lavorazione di questo capo.

Gli incroci alternati su una lavorazione a coste 1/1 creano delle trecce che si allargano e che sembrano delle piccole lanterne.
Questo anche grazie al bloccaggio fatto con il ferro a vapore a lavoro finito.
Il risultato è un maglione davvero originale e divertente da realizzare

Ti serviranno (9,10,11) gomitoli da 50 gr lavorati con i ferri circolari nr 5
