When finished, the raccoon is roughly 7-8 cm (3.15-4 inches) tall if you take the same yarn

You need for work:

  • Yarn. For a raccoon you’ll need any yarn you can comb. An optimal variant is a yarn which contains mohair. 10-15 % of mohair in your yarn will be enough. The metric area of a yarn will be approx. from 170 till 250 m in 50 g. as a variant, you can take any smooth yarn like Gazzal baby wool and add to it a thin thread of kid mohair
  • Double pointed needles 4 pcs 1,5 mm.
  • Stuffing. Synthetic fluff or hollofayber.
  • White chenille wire for a frame of the legs. (if you have no wire, you can make the legs without frame)
  • Eyes-beads or eyes with stalks (I have the second one)
  • Transparent moment glue or a glue for a fabric. (if you sew the eyes and nose, than you will not need a glue)
  • A device which help to insert a thread in a needle.
  • A sewing needle, a piece of black thread, pins, 2 pcs.
  • The hook 1,5 mm (to lighten the process)
  • Oil pastel
  • A thin brush.
  • A rough brush to comb the yarn. I use a brush for the animals with the metal teeth. It is sold in any pet-shop.
