This sweater pattern is beginner-friendly as it only requires two stitches – knit and purl. It’s a simple bottom-up sweater that is worked in rounds until it’s separated into front and back panel, later seamed at shoulders and finished by completing the sleeves that are also worked in rounds.

There is minimal sewing involved, it has repetitive rows, doesn’t require any increase or decrease techniques and it will be great first-time knitting project. It can also be reversible piece if you are able to seamlessly join the shoulders and hide the tails in the way it’s not visible on either right or wrong side.

Pattern is completed in stripework, purl rows on the right side while working with DK boucle yarn and knit rows while working with mohair. Once work come to rows instead of rounds, DK boucle yarn is completed in stockinette to have purl rows on right side and mohair completed in stockinette to have knit rows on right side. Each colour has 12 rows/rounds each.

Pattern is written for 6 different sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (XXL) and instructions are written accordingly. As an example, Co 110 (116) 122 (132) 140 (148), meaning if you are following size XS you are looking at 1st number, S – second number (in brackets), M – 3rd number and so on. If there is 1 round/stitch number, it applies to all sizes.

Yarn used for this project is by Kenikse Yarns, DK superwash merino boucle wool in colour Avocado and Lace mohair in colour Brownie.
