This fun cowl is designed to work with scraps or mini skeins of fingering weight yarn. Choose coordinating colors or go wild! The simple lace motif is easily memorized, making it a great beginner project. The cowl features A-line shaping, designed to keep your neck and shoulders extra cozy.

Solids, stripes, speckles or variegated colors will all look great in the chevron portions, but it is best to select a light color solid yarn for the lace sections of the cowl.

The pattern is both charted and written.

Also available for sale on Payhip.

A Note on Color Selection:
In the pattern, I reference three types of colors:
Stripe Colors
Pop Color
Neutral Color.
When I designed the cowl, my vision was to begin and end with coordinating chevron stripes, knit the two middle sections of lace in a neutral color, and separate them by a bright “pop” of color.
For my sample, I used Knitpicks Stroll Heathers in a light grey colorway and various coordinating colorways of mini skeins. My pop color was easy to choose- a gorgeous mini skein of Chelsea Luxe Glitter in the Glacier colorway (my very favorite from the 2019 Advent Set).

Techniques Used:
Yarn over increases
Knit 2 together decreases
