Knitted Apples and Pears
An apple a day keeps the doctor away! These make unique thank you gifts for teachers, or lovely get well soon gifts and ‘good health on your way’. Enjoy making your fun and thoughtful gift, or make a yummy addition to your own homemade fruit bowl kitchen display.
Plan your design to build your decor or project. This may be a single ‘An Apple a Day’ get-well gifting, a pair of pears, or a collection of ‘Apples & Pears’ for the ‘stairs’ or a fruit bowl!
Knitted Apple Complete Size – 6 cm width x 6 cm height x 6 cm depth (approx. and excluding leaf & stem)
Knitted Pear Complete Size – 6 cm width x 10 cm height (excluding stem)
Completed Knitted Leaf Size - 4 cm width x 6 cm height

Step by step knitting pattern on a three column arrangement.
How to Make it…
Made from one knitted main apple or pear piece, two knitted leaf pieces to make up the one leaf, and a small finger-knitted stem piece.
What you will need…
Total time – 1 Hour 50 Minutes each Knitted Apple (approx.)
Total time – 1 Hour 50 Minutes each Knitted Pear (approx.)
3.25mm knitting needles (UK 10, US 3)
Double-knitting (DK) yarn – Red or Green (or other colour as desired) for main apple or pear piece, Green for leaves, Green or Brown for Stem
Yarn sewing up needle
Scissors
Stuffing/toy filling
Optional fruit basket to put your knitted apples and knitted pears in!
