This pattern is designed using Rowan Frost, which is an aran weight yarn. I designed the pattern to create a neck construction which is a very different from a more traditional cowl shape. The finished cowl has a V shaping at the front and flat panel at the back, and works perfectly with V shaped coats/jackets where you would like to have a warm neck but don’t want to wear a cowl that is bulky or loose fitting.

It does use basic knitting stitches, and so is suitable for knitters with knowledge of basic stitches.
