Project knitted with two strands of yarn together. You can use any cotton worsted yarn and DK cotton yarn for the project. You will need more DK weight yarn, because you will use leftover DK yarn for the lining of the pocket.

Because gauge does not matter for the project you can really use any yarn that will knit with #10 needle.

This is a great project to teach somebody to knit and do basic techniques. So it can be used as a tutorial. Student will learn:
cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch, bind off, cast on in the middle of your work, how to count in garter and stockinet. How to pick up stitches. How to make a pocket with lining.
