I used base Alize Lanagold Classic yarn DK / Light 3.53 Oz (100g)/262 yds (240 m), blend: Acrylic (51%), Wool (49%) . You can use any suitable cotton yarn with similar footage and properties for the specified size. The following yarn is also suitable:
• DROPS Puna 1.76 oz (50 g) / 120 yds (110 m); 100% superfine alpaca; DK/worsted;
• DROPS Alpaca 1.76 oz (50 g) / 183 yds (167 m); 100% alpaca, sport weight;
• YarnArt Merino DeLuxe 50 3.52 Oz (100 g) / 306 yds (280 m), 50% Wool - 50% Acrylic, 3 dk & light worsted.

Base color — Alize Lanagold Classic yarn, Light brown (207) color;
Second red color — stock bobine yarn Zegna Baruffa Softly mouline (100% extrafine merino wool) 100 grams (3.53 ounces) in 383 yards (350 meters) in one (1) strand, color #520731 red mouline;
For one chicken toy, you will need about 0.5-1 Oz (15-30 grams) of yarn;

1. Addi Crazy Trio needles or needles with long lace cable (60 cm) for circular knitting or Double-pointed knitting needles (DPNs). I used US 2 (2.75mm) size needles. Select a knitting needle size based on the specified knitting gauge and your yarn: from US 0 (1.75mm) to US 2 (3.0mm);
2. Scissors; needle, marker, stuffing (holofiber or thinsulate).

Gauge: 15 stitches and 20 rows = 2 x 2 inches (5 x 5 cm) in stockinette stitch using US 2 (2.75 mm) needles.

From the specified yarn and gauge, size of the chicken toy is 4¾  × 3 inches (12 x 7.5 cm from bottom to top). For other yarns, the size of the finished deer toy may vary.
