Great learning for a beginner ready to experiment.
Optional crochet edging really enhances the look of this scarf.
Optional for more advanced knitters: Before turning on the short row, slip one of the unworked/holding stitches to the left needle, pass the yarn to the front then to the back after this stitch is passed back to the right needle. This avoids the short row hole that you might see. This is not an important detail, but there are those of us that the little hole becomes bothersome! :-)
