This knitted doll has very long hair, and lots of it! A hairstyle for every day of the week, from plaits, bunches, or a ponytail, with added bobbles, bands or ribbons. The hair could also be cut or layered, and then taken away and added again, using any coloured yarn, long or short. The possibilities are endless.

The photos of the dolls are from the same basic pattern, different coloured yarn is used (both coloured yarns are given in the pattern). Joanne is the Brown haired doll and Scarlet is the Red haired doll. Clothes for Joanne and Scarlet are given at the end of the pattern.

Please note the dolls head and body needs support, due to the extra weight of the dolls hair. The support used is a jumbo straw which is added in with the toy stuffing, Therefore it is advisable not to include the straw if this doll is being knitted for a small child.**
