Materials:
• One 6mm US size 10, 4.5mm US size 7 circular needle (or straight needles), at least 80cm (23”) in length or size needed to meet the required gauge.
• Stitch markers, optional.
• Tapestry needle for sewing in threads.
• Blocking materials.

Scrappy Version (Natural coloured base):
• DK weight yarn, approximately 420m (460 yds). I used 2 x 100g skeins of African Expressions Enchanted, which is a 60% Merino, 20% Kid Mohair and 20% Superfine Alpaca blend yarn.
• Fingering/Sock weight yarn, approximately 420m (460 yds) in colours of your choice, I used fingering weight leftovers from my favourite projects in order to knit this memory scarf. I used 115g yarn in total for this project.

Mini Skein Version (Navy base):
• Fingering/Sock weight yarn - base colour, approximately 560m (612 yds). I used approximately 1 ½ 100g skeins of Miss la Motte Merino Singles, which is a single ply 100% Merino yarn.
• Fingering/Sock weight yarn – mini skeins, 7 x 20g fingering/sock weight mini skeins, I used a Secret Seven set from EsTeresa Yarn Creations, in their Cleo Base, which is 3 ply 75% Merino, 25% nylon blend yarn.

Size:
Scrappy Version, approximately 20cm (8”) wide and 198cm (78”) in length.

Mini Skein version, approximately 19cm (8”) wide and 212cm (83”) in length.

Both versions are easily adaptable in both length and width.

Gauge:
21 stitches and 20 rows, is 10cm (4in) in cable knitting, knitted flat, and blocked with DK and Fingering weight yarn held together.

28 stitches and 28 rows, is 10cm (4in) in cable knitting, knitted flat, and blocked with Fingering weight yarn held double.

Knitting to gauge is not that important for this project, but it will affect yardage requirements.
