This is a pattern for a knitted mitted muff. It is made with heavy weight fingering yarn and a faux fur. The mitts have an eyelet stitch in them. The mitts move seamlessly to the muff section, and back again. The muff shown here is 11 X 8 inches, but it can be adjust to your taste. It is finished with an i-cord.

This is one of those fun, easy and fast things to knit, that make a great accessory for yourself, or as a gift. Almost any faux fur yarn will work. It is made with mitts that are knitted that but can be worn on either the inside or the outside. The mitts act as wrist warmers if worn on the outside of the muff. However, if you choose to put them inside the muff, they act as an extra lining on cold days. The i-cord allows you to have your hands free if you need them. The mitts themselves have an easy pattern that compliments the muff but does not detract from it.

It is made using two circular needles.

Skill level: Beginner + - Intermediate (assuming a working knowledge of knitting, purling and yarn overs).

The fingering weight yarn in the sample is Handmaiden’s Casbah in colorway, Ebony.
