This pattern is available for free.

For advanced knitters, you can simply insert the panda face chart into your favourite hat pattern.

Ears are made from black pom poms glued to the sides.

This hat is made using 1 skein of white yarn and 1 skein of black yarn with leftovers after completion.

I used intarsia for the white portion of the eyes and fair isle knitting for the nose&smile. I cut the black yarn at the end of the eyes when knitting the big black portion of the eyes. It was the first time I used such techniques during knitting so I wasn’t quite sure. If any experienced knitters out there have any great ideas/recommendations, do post it under the comments page! I’d be really grateful!

PLEASE READ THIS: A lot of people have told me that this Panda Hat is gigantic. I am beginning to suspect that the yarn I had was 5ply instead of the originally assumed 8ply. Sorry but I wrote this way back when I started learning to knit and was still figuring out gauge and stuff. I don’t think I even made a swatch when I knitted this! A lot of people have simply used the chart on their favourite hat pattern and I recommend you to do the same - just use the chart on a plain beanie pattern!
