Materials
1. I used Yarn Art Ideal yarn 1.76 oz (50g)/185.91 yds (170m), 100% cotton, colors: 223 beige, 235 green, 228 black. As an alternative you can use any suitable yarn with similar footage and properties for the specified size. The following yarn is also suitable:

• DROPS Safran 1.76 Oz (50 g) / 175 yds (160 m);
• Alize Cotton Gold 3.53 Oz (100g) / 361 Yds (330m);
• Cascade Yarns Botanika 3.53oz (100g) / 328yds (300m).

For one hanging plant in total, you will need approximately 120–130 grams of yarn (about 4.2-4.6 Oz).

1. Knitting needles:

a) For knitting the pot, pot handles and soil, I use double pointed needles KnitPro Zing 3.5 mm (US 4) needles size length 20 cm (8’’). You can also use circular needles with a long cable. Choose knitting needles from 3.5 mm to 4 mm (US sizes 4–6) based on the specified knitting gauge and your yarn.

b) To knit the leaves and vines, you will need circular knitting needles with a long cable, or double-pointed needles, or flexible needles. I use Addi CraSy Trio flexible double-pointed needles 2.75 mm (US 2). Choose knitting needles from 2.75 mm to 3.5 mm (US sizes 2–4) based on the specified knitting gauge and your yarn.

1. Scissors, knitting markers, stuffing, measuring tape, tapestry needle for sewing, crochet hook 3 mm (optional)

Knitting is divided into the following stages:

1. Knitting the plant pot (knit in the round, 1 piece);
2. Knitting the pot insert/soil (1 piece);
3. Knitting individual leaves (multiple pieces);
4. Knitting leafy vines in different lengths and leaf sizes (long vines, short vines, large, medium and small leaves);
5. Knitting the hanging cords for the pot (2 pieces);
6. Assembling all parts into a complete hanging plant.
