A note from Aunt Kate’s Home Knitter reads -

“This scarf is suitable for a light evening wrap if knitted in Shetland Wool or 2ply fingering. 3ply super fingering with give a useful motor scarf. For 2ply fingering use needles No. 9.”

This wrap is knit beginning with the edging, stitches are then picked up and the border is begun knitting the edging alongside the border pattern. The centre repeats can be knit until the desired length is achieved. Then a second border is knit separately and grafted on to the centre stitches.

The wrap pattern has been charted by the designer from the original written instructions from Aunt Kate’s Home Knitter. Both options are included in the book.
