Hand knitted wool poncho perfect for cold autumn and winter evenings. Throw over a dress or jeans and add a unique touch to your outfit. The example is made in light purple, but the choice of colour is up to the individual. The pattern is simple and repetitive, suits beginners.

Materials needed:

• 2 knitting needles (4.5 mm, US 7)
• double knitting or worsted wool yarn (9-11 wpi), approximately 350-400g

The poncho is made of two identical sides, which are knitted separately and later sewed/knitted together.

Abbreviations:
(k) - knit stitch
(p) - purl stitch
(yo) - yarn over
(k2tog) - knit two together (slants to the right)
(k3tog) - knit three together
(p2tog) - purl two together
(inc 1) - start of row increasing stitch
(knit x times) - knit the pattern between * x times
