Knitworthy Mini Beanie
Knitworthy Beanie is a simple yet striking beanie that you’ll want to wear on your head every day!
The Knitworthy Beanie is knitted from the bottom up. The cuff is knitted downwards, and the stitches are then closed together using the Kitchener Stitch technique.
The beanie has a snug fit, which will makes it sit well on your head.
The pattern is now also available in children’s sizes (three different sizes).
Size: 6-12mth (1-3y) 3-9y
Head circumference: 44-46 (48-50) 52-54 cm
Measurements (after blocking):
Width:16 (18) 19 cm
Height (measured from the folding edge): 17 (18) 20 cm
Gauge: 17 sts x 29 rnds = 10 cm
Yarn: One strand DK yarn, one strand mohair, held together
Or one strand Aran yarn
The beanies in the picture are knitted with:
- Blue Novita Syli (50 g = 80 m)
- Grey Filcolana Peruvian Highland wool (50 g = 100 m)
- Striped Filcolana Peruvian Highland wool (50 g = 100 m) + Drops Big Merino (50 g = 75 m)
Yardage:
DK: 100 (100) 100 g
Mohair: 25 (25) 25 g
If you’re knitting with aran weight yarn, refer to the DK yarn yardage.
Needles: 2 x 4.5 mm circular needles (40 cm or longer if you knit magic loop)
Tools: Stitch markers, sewing needle, resting cable
