This is an easy to knit beanie style hat that features simple bands of 3x3 ribbing for the entire body of the hat. Each band is set off with a small line of garter stitch. The bands of ribbing are offset to give the pattern a little extra interest. The hat is worked in the round from the bottom up and is completed in one piece.

Only knit and purl stitches needed, with knitting 2 stitches together to create the decreases in the top of the hat.

Knit one for yourself. Then maybe a few more to share with family and friends, or to give to a cause that’s important to you. The instructions are for an adult size, but easy to adjust by adding or subtracting the number of cast-on stitches by six.
