Knotted Mesh Bag
A free version is also available.
✿ One rectangle. One knot. That’s the whole bag.
Seriously. You crochet one flat panel, tie a single knot in the middle, fold it in half and seam the sides. The knot becomes the handle, the mesh gathers around it, and the solid bands meet at the bottom for a sturdy base that holds its shape even when it’s full.
Make a small one for gifts or a project pouch, a medium that slips over your wrist for errands, or a big market and beach bag.

✨ What makes it work
- Worked flat. No rounds and no increases to count.
- Easy repeat. Past the bottom band, the mesh is a simple two-row repeat.
- Sturdy base. Solid double crochet bands at each end meet at the bottom.
- Easy to resize. Make it wider or taller as you go.
- You’re not on your own. Video tutorial and written pattern included.
