Our everyday lives provide us with far too much information to process. Our brains naturally filter and compartmentalize the inputs to make sense of it all. The filters we apply, consciously or subconsciously, greatly affect how we see our environment. Six colours are thoroughly combined in this cowl to create a chaotic mixed background. Order is brought to the surface of the fabric by applying various filters.

This cowl is knit flat using 2 yarns held together. Ribbons of colour are placed on each side of the fabric; one side shows a six colour sequence and the other side shows the colours divided into 2 three coloured ribbons. The cowl can be worn with the ribbons displayed in four different ways.

This is an easy to memorize first Fission Knitting project.

Use miniskeins or scrap yarn to give this a try! Minis from Advent sets or minis from one dyer make colour selection easy!
