Inspired by a carved stone found at the Great Mount of Knowth, the Knowth shawl is a semi-circular shawl knitted in two colours of Nua. Slipped stitches move across the garter-stitch surface until they are broken up by a contrast colour band decorated by a lacy cable. A garter-stitch ridge in the main colour finishes off the warm and practical shawl.
