About my patterns
All of my knitting patterns and booklets are available to download for free. Knut Pacifier Clip
Knut Pacifier Clip is a simple and cute pattern that belongs to my Knut series of patterns. The texture is simple but decorative and is formed only using knit and purl stitches. The pacifier chain is knitted in thin yarn and is perfect for leftovers. A lovely match for the other patterns in the Knut series. Please note that the stated yarn consumption includes a safety margin of approx. 10%. The test knitters and I have used between 3-4 g of yarn for our pacifier chains, so you can take the chance of a gram less than recommended in a pinch.

Knut Pacifier Clip is worked from the bottom up. You start by working the attachment to the o-ring. Next, you work increases until the correct width is achieved. You work the pattern over the pacifier chain before working decreases to make the chain narrower and working the attachment to the harness clip. Make sure that the total length of the pacifier chain (including the harness clip) should be under 22 cm for safety reasons. A pacifier clip that is longer than 22 cm can pose a choking hazard. The green pacifier clip in the pictures in the pattern is knitted in Rauma Garn Lun Merino in the color Pistasjkrem.

Sizes: Onesize.
Finished measurements: 18 cm, not inclusing clip and o-ring.
Gauge: 30 stitches = 10 cm (measured in texture).
Suggested needles: 2.5 mm US 1-2ircular needle).
Suggested yarn: Knitting for Olive Merino (50 g = 250 m) or Sandnes Sunday (50 g = 235 m) or Rauma Garn Lun Merino (25 g = 120 m).
Estimated yarn quantity: 4-6 grams = 19-28 meters (given for Sunday).
Notions: Clip to attach pacified string and silicone o-ring to attach pacifier.
Level of difficulty: 2/5 (easy).
