My two youngest boys are, well, “all boy”. That’s why when they said they wanted “ninja dolls” I figured I’d need to make the toys cuddly but pretty sturdy to hold up to the battles that would ensue! I tried doing the ninja toys in KnitWit by Katie Boyette, which are GORGEOUS but done in pieces with sewn-on felt bits – and that wouldn’t work at’ll for my boys.

The solution? These all-in-one, all-knitted Ninjas. Made using Encore, these dolls are washable and (hopefully) indestructible … perfect for my boys!

Each doll uses just 60yards of worsted and about another 10 yards of DK (for the face). You can make THREE dolls with one skein of Encore.

The dolls are knit from the top down, all in one-piece, and stuffed as you go. They’re fun and quick to knit … especially if you have at least one little boy who keeps asking “are you done yet?”
