Materials:
It has come to my attention that Lions Brand may no longer makes the Jiffy style yarn in
the format that I purchased and used. It was listed as Lion Brand Yarn 450-100 Jiffy
Yarn. It is 100% acrylic that looks like mohair. You may be able to still find it on
amazon.com. Under the “white” color listing were additional colors.

It is NOT the Lion Brand Jiffy thick and quick yarns that they now make. However, while
it is not “hairy” like what I used, the Vanna’s Choice yarns will work. If you don’t mind
using wool, there are several brands that will work, including some of Lions Brand. I
preferred the acrylic yarns to avoid allergies and to avoid any shrinkage should the item
end up being washed! You can see the difference

Lions Brand Jiffy 450-100: Silver Heather, White, Black, Dark Grey Heather
Dark Grey Heather was only used for trim in the ears. Any dark grey or charcoal will
work.
Patons Metallic: Black (for nose and pupil of eyes)
Red Heart Super Saver White (for eyes only) and Black (for fingernails)
Polyester fiber fill for stuffing
Darning or tapestry needle

SC - Single Crochet
2 TOG - next 2 stitches together (decrease)

HDC - half double crochet
DC - double crochet
FLO - front loop only
BLO - back loop only
changing color counts as a stitch
