Three Birds Yarn Studio

This cozy sock weight wrap pattern incorporates both broken ribbing and mosaic stitches for a soft texture. Each section alternates between using just one color or blending in a second color. I’ve written this pattern for 4 colors of Kelbourne Woolens Perennial. Feel free to get creative and use more or less colors if you’d like.

Each section has a stitch count at the end to keep you on track. I highly recommend placing a lifeline at each section break just in case you need to go back and fix an error. If you are unfamiliar with lifelines, I’ve added a link to my YouTube tutorial below. Lastly. wet blocking your finished shawl to get all stitches and lines to settle and lay neatly.

Gauge
27 sts and 36 rows make a 4” (10 cm) square in stockinette stitch, worked flat, AFTER blocking

Materials
1297 yards (261g/1185m) of fingering weight yarn in 3 colors (I used Kelbourne Woolens Perennial)
Yardage Breakdown:
Color A (Neon Coral)- 403 yards (81g/369m)
Color B (Neon Lime)- 298 yards (60g/272m)
Color C (Raspberry)- 263 yards (53g/240m)
Color D (Caribbean)- 333 yards (67g/304m)
US 4 (3.5mm) circular needles with a 40” cord or longer, or correct needle size to obtain gauge
2 stitch markers
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
