Kookaburra
This is the pattern for a kookaburra appliqué. I do have this pattern available for free on my website if you would prefer that option. The link is down below, but I’ve made it available for people to download as well for $1 on Ravelry.
There is also a video tutorial for the pattern available on my YouTube channel at Crochet Kookaburra Tutorial.
I’ve used 2 ply cotton and a 1mm crochet hook, but you can use different sizes depending on what you’re most comfortable with.
• Any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Maxi Sweet Treat 2 ply crochet cotton colours (106) Snow White, (162) Black Coffee, (130) Old Lace, (404) English Tea, (254) Moon Rock and (173) Bluebell.
• A crochet hook, I used a 1mm hook.
• A darning needle to weave in ends.
• Thread and needle to stitch the kookaburra together.
• Blue, brown and white thread to embroider on markings.
• A bead for the eye.
• Scissors.
